How to use Fashion Gold Progressiva at home
What to have ready, the seven steps with their timings, and the mistakes that cost a result.
Repair
Three tubes, three jobs, one per wash. The skill is not in applying a mask. It is in knowing which of the three your hair is asking for this week.

In Brazil a hair schedule has a name: cronograma capilar. The idea is plain. Hair asks for different things in different weeks, so you plan your masks the way you plan meals.
Fashion Gold turns that plan into three numbered tubes. Medula is the reconstruction step, Cortex is nutrition and Cuticula is hydration. All three are made for all hair types.
You do not need a salon or a chart on the bathroom wall. You need to know what your hair is doing this week and which tube answers it. After that the rule is one mask per wash.

The Cronograma Capilar 3-Mask Set packs the three together for $89.89. Each mask is sold alone as well in the Cronograma line, next to a shampoo for the wash that comes first.
The names are the Portuguese words for three layers of a hair strand, from the core out to the surface. The numbers on the tubes follow the same path: 01, 02, 3.
Medula is mask 01, in the pink tube. Fashion Gold calls it the reconstruction step and makes it for damaged, fragile or stressed-looking hair.
It is the protein mask of the three. The brand names hydrolyzed keratin, hydrolyzed wheat protein and amino acids as its key ingredients.

What does the brand say it does? It helps strengthen hair against breakage, and it softens and smooths. Curls stay curls and waves stay waves, because Medula conditions and does not straighten.

Medula does not replace a haircut, and it is not a leave-in. You rinse it out like the other two. In the schedule it takes turns with Cortex and Cuticula.
i the pink one made something for my hair that the other products i teied before didnt
You may receive the older tube with the Ybera logo. Fashion Gold ships both designs while it changes the packaging.
Cortex is mask 02, in the orange tube. It is the nutrition step, made for dry or stressed-looking hair.
Where Medula brings protein, Cortex brings oil. The brand names coconut oil, vegetable ceramides and amino acid complex.

Fashion Gold says Cortex replenishes lipids lost to heat and chemistry. It describes softer, more flexible lengths and a fuller, smoother, less porous feel.
Dry hair is easy to recognize once you stop looking and start touching. It feels rough when you slide two fingers down a strand. It looks matte in daylight. It takes a lot of conditioner and still feels thirsty an hour later.
If your hair has one complaint and that complaint is dryness, Cortex alone can be your whole routine. One tube costs $34.99.

Cuticula is mask 3, in the blue tube. It is the hydration step, for dry or frizzy-looking hair.
The brand names coconut oil, polyquaternium-7 and amino acid complex. Coconut oil appears in two of the three tubes, and Cuticula is one of them.

Fashion Gold says Cuticula seals the surface of the hair to cut frizz. It describes softer, smoother, shinier lengths and moisture from the first use.
Think of it as the finishing coat. Medula works on strength and Cortex on dryness. Cuticula works on what you see in the mirror: flyaways, a dull surface, hair that puffs up on a humid day.
It is also the easiest place to start. If your hair is in good shape and only frizzes, go straight to the blue tube.
| Medula | Cortex | Cuticula | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Number on the tube | 01 | 02 | 3 |
| Tube color | Pink | Orange | Blue |
| Step | Reconstruction | Nutrition | Hydration |
| Made for | Damaged, fragile or stressed-looking hair | Dry or stressed-looking hair | Dry or frizzy-looking hair |
| Named ingredients | Hydrolyzed keratin, hydrolyzed wheat protein and amino acids | Coconut oil, vegetable ceramides and amino acid complex | Coconut oil, polyquaternium-7 and amino acid complex |
| The brand says | Helps strengthen hair against breakage | Replenishes lipids lost to heat and chemistry | Seals the surface to cut frizz |
| Time on the hair | 3 seconds to 10 minutes | 3 seconds to 10 minutes | 3 seconds to 10 minutes |
| Tube | 250 g (8.8 oz) | 250 g (8.8 oz) | 250 g (8.8 oz) |
| Price | $34.99 | $34.99 | $34.99 |
All three rinse out. None is a leave-in, and none straightens hair. The difference is the job each one does on the wash you give it.
Weak hair breaks, and dry hair feels rough. Take Medula when you find short snapped pieces after 1 detangling, and take Cortex when the lengths feel like straw but hold together.
Damaged hair is fragile, so it tends to break. Hair breakage can leave us with frizzy, unhealthy-looking hair.
The American Academy of Dermatology ties breakage and frizz together. So frizz can have two sources: a rough surface, or many short broken hairs standing up. The mirror checks tell you which one you have.
The masks are cosmetics for the lengths and ends. A scalp that bothers you is a question for a board-certified dermatologist, not for a mask.
| What you notice | Mask to take | What the brand says it does |
|---|---|---|
| Short snapped pieces in the comb | Medula | Helps strengthen hair against breakage |
| Lengths that feel rough or stiff when dry | Cortex | Softer, more flexible lengths |
| Flyaways and a dull surface | Cuticula | Seals the surface to cut frizz |
| Color, bleach or a hot tool most weeks | Medula and Cortex in turn | Replenishes lipids lost to heat and chemistry |
| Two or three of these at once | The three-mask set | Works in 3 seconds or as a 10-minute mask |
Many treatments that enhance the appearance of your hair can actually damage it, causing your hair to become dry and brittle.
The AAD says that about dyeing, bleaching and perming. If one of them is in your recent history, expect your hair to ask for more than one tube.
Your hair also changes. A week at the pool, a new color, a cold dry month: each one moves the answer. Check again every few washes. A schedule is a habit of looking.
Yes, for everyday conditioning. Fashion Gold's directions give 3 seconds as the short option for Medula, Cortex and Cuticula, and up to 10 minutes as the deeper one.
Three seconds sounds like a slogan. In practice it means that you do not have to wait. Work the mask through, and when you have covered the last section you can rinse the first.
Shampoo and squeeze out the excess water.
Work the mask through the lengths and ends.
Leave it on for 3 seconds to condition, or for up to 10 minutes for a deeper treatment.
Rinse well and style.

Use 3 seconds on a weekday wash, when the mask stands in for your conditioner. Dermatologists count that step as basic care.
Use conditioner after washing your hair. Conditioner moisturizes and detangles your hair, and makes it easier to manage.
Keep the long version for the wash when you have time: after a color appointment, after a beach day, or once a week as a small ritual. Clip the hair up, set a timer and rinse well when it rings.
Ten minutes is the brand's upper figure. Nothing on the tube asks for longer.
Fashion Gold's directions say lengths and ends. How much of the length depends on your hair, and the AAD gives a useful rule.
If you have fine or straight hair, apply conditioner to the ends of your hair. However, if your hair is dry or curly, apply conditioner to the entire length of your hair.
The rule fits the tubes well. Fine, straight hair takes a small amount on the ends. Dry or curly hair takes more, along the whole length.
Fashion Gold gives two rules and no calendar. Use one mask per wash. Alternate the three. How you fill a month is up to your hair.
Each plan here counts two washes a week, so eight washes in four weeks. Each leans on one mask and keeps the other two in play. No mask comes out twice in a row.
This is hair that is bleached, highlighted or ironed often. Medula leads, with 4 washes of the eight. Cortex and Cuticula share the rest.
| First wash of the week | Second wash of the week | |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Medula, 10 minutes | Cortex, 3 seconds |
| Week 2 | Medula, 10 minutes | Cuticula, 3 seconds |
| Week 3 | Medula, 10 minutes | Cortex, 3 seconds |
| Week 4 | Medula, 10 minutes | Cuticula, 3 seconds |
This is hair that feels rough, looks matte and tangles when it dries. Cortex leads. Cuticula follows it on the next wash, and Medula comes out once every two weeks.
| First wash of the week | Second wash of the week | |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Cortex, 10 minutes | Cuticula, 3 seconds |
| Week 2 | Cortex, 10 minutes | Medula, 3 seconds |
| Week 3 | Cortex, 10 minutes | Cuticula, 3 seconds |
| Week 4 | Cortex, 10 minutes | Medula, 3 seconds |
This is hair in good shape with a restless surface. Cuticula leads and Cortex backs it up. Medula appears once in the month.
| First wash of the week | Second wash of the week | |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Cuticula, 10 minutes | Cortex, 3 seconds |
| Week 2 | Cuticula, 10 minutes | Medula, 3 seconds |
| Week 3 | Cuticula, 10 minutes | Cortex, 3 seconds |
| Week 4 | Cuticula, 10 minutes | Cortex, 3 seconds |
The 10-minute wash opens each week and the 3-second wash closes it. Swap them if your free evening falls later in the week. The order of the masks matters more than the day.
| Hair that breaks | Hair that is dry | Hair that only frizzes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Medula, pink tube | 4 of 8 | 2 of 8 | 1 of 8 |
| Cortex, orange tube | 2 of 8 | 4 of 8 | 3 of 8 |
| Cuticula, blue tube | 2 of 8 | 2 of 8 | 4 of 8 |
Wash once a week? Take the washes in order, one per week, and the same plan runs for eight weeks. Wash more often? Run the same order across your washes. The plan ends sooner and starts again.
After four weeks, do the three mirror checks again. If the comb comes out cleaner, move from the first plan to the second or the third. The schedule is meant to change as the hair does.
Every mask step starts with clean, wet hair. The Cronograma Multifunctional Shampoo is the wash the line provides for it: a gel shampoo in a 500 ml purple bottle, at $42.90.

Fashion Gold says it gently cleanses hair and scalp, helps keep moisture and leaves softness and shine. The named ingredients are ceramides, hydrolyzed keratin, vitamin B5 and essential amino acids.
Two things to know before you buy it. The brand calls this shampoo paraben-free. It does not call it sulfate-free.
That matters after a smoothing treatment. For those washes the brand pairs Progressiva with the Protect & Control shampoo, the one it describes as sulfate-free. The mask directions ask for a shampoo first and do not name one.

Fashion Gold prints no number of uses on a 250 g tube. Hair length and thickness decide. Shoulder-length hair takes less per wash than hair to the waist, so compare the offers per 100 g.

Many people meet the Cronograma masks through Progressiva, the brand's smoothing treatment. Fashion Gold's order is fixed: straighten first, then keep the hair up with the masks from the next wash on.

The Keratin Treatment and 3-Mask Set joins the two lines. It holds the 300 g treatment, for up to 6 applications by the label, and the three 250 g masks. At today's prices the four-piece set costs $153.90, and the bottle plus the three-mask set come to $167.78.

The masks condition. They do not straighten, and they do not replace the treatment. If the hour with the cream and the flat iron is what you came for, read how to do the Progressiva treatment at home. For bottle sizes and the washes afterwards, see how to choose a Progressiva size.
Fashion Gold has a fourth rinse-out mask outside the schedule. The Protect & Control 2-in-1 Conditioning Mask comes in a jar, from $29.90, and doubles as the conditioner after the Protect & Control shampoo.

Its timing differs from the tubes. Leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes as a conditioner, or for 10 to 25 minutes under a thermal cap as a mask. The cap is not in the box.
So which one? The jar is the plain choice: one product at every wash, made for keratin-treated, color-treated or dry hair. The tubes are the precise choice. You can keep both: the jar on ordinary washes, a Cronograma tube on the wash when the hair asks for something specific.
I use it as a deep hydration, I noticed shine and softness in my hair
The jar, its shampoo and the pre-shampoo cream sit together in the Protect & Control line.
Yes. Fashion Gold makes the 3 Cronograma masks for all hair types, and it says Medula does not change the natural texture. For curls and for blonde hair the brand also sells the Cacho Perfeito kit and the Perfect Blonde kit, each with 3 masks of 250 g.
| Made for | The three masks | Time on the hair | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cronograma Capilar 3-Mask Set | All hair types | Medula Reconstruction, Cortex Nourishing and Cuticula Hydrating | 3 seconds to 10 minutes | $89.89 |
| Cacho Perfeito Curly Hair Mask Kit | Curly hair, types 2A to 4C | Intense Softness, Strength & Anti-Breakage and Anti-Frizz | 3 seconds to 10 minutes | $89.90 |
| Perfect Blonde Hair Mask Kit | Natural, bleached and highlighted blonde hair | Lavender Blonde, Structural and Balance | 3 seconds to 10 minutes | $89.89 |
| Girls' Hair Mask Kit | Children's hair, all types | Detangling, Anti-Frizz and Shine | 3 seconds to 10 minutes | $69.90 |
The Cacho Perfeito kit is for curly hair, types 2A to 4C. Its three tubes are Intense Softness, Strength & Anti-Breakage and Anti-Frizz. The logic is the same: one for softness, one for strength, one for frizz, and one per wash.

Curly hair is drier than other hair types. To keep it moisturized, condition all your hair, not just the ends.
The AAD's advice explains the range for curls. Curly hair wants conditioner along the whole length, and a leave-in or an oil after it. The masks cover the first part. For the second, the Capulana line has a leave-in cream, an oil and a spray, and none of them straightens.
The Perfect Blonde kit is for natural, bleached and highlighted blonde hair. Lavender Blonde is a toning mask against yellow tones. Structural is for weakened blonde hair. Balance is an acidifying mask for porosity and shine.

Bleached hair can run both sets. Use Lavender Blonde when yellow shows, and Medula or the Structural mask when the hair feels weak. The rule holds: one mask per wash.
The Girls' Hair Mask Kit follows the three-tube pattern for children's hair: detangling, anti-frizz and shine. The 10-minute option is for the detangling and anti-frizz masks. The shine mask stays on for 3 seconds.
The Boys' Hair Care Kit is a different thing: a shampoo, a conditioner and a leave-in cream. Nothing on the pack says tear-free, so keep it out of the eyes. All four kits sit together under mask kits.
The three-mask set holds 4.5 out of 5 from 81 ratings. About 12% of them are 3 stars or lower.
The instructions are easy to follow since each container indicates the order of use.
That is the numbering at work: 01, 02, 3. You can read the order off the tubes in the shower, with wet hands and no leaflet.
It leaves your hair feeling hydrated, soft, and beautifully shiny.
The written reviews of the set are short and warm. They tell you how hair felt after a wash. They do not tell you how many washes a tube covered, or how the hair looked months later.
If you doubt one specific mask, a single tube lets you test it before you buy three.
No matter your hair type, excessive heat can cause damage.
A mask is half of the answer. The other half is what you stop doing. The AAD's advice on heat is direct: limit blow drying and hot tools, and use low or medium settings.
