The conditioner is the middle step. After the shampoo it goes through the lengths for 3 minutes and rinses out. Fashion Gold names scutellaria root extract, soybean germ extract and wheat germ extract, and says the hair comes out softer, easier to detangle and less prone to breakage.

On its own it is a straightforward conditioner. Its place is between the shampoo and the tonic.
